The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA), which regulates oil and gas pricing in Pakistan, has raised liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices for November. In a notification issued on Saturday, OGRA set the increase at Rs14.73 per kilogram and fixed the new LPG price at Rs294.07 per kg.

For households that buy bottled gas, the same notification puts an 11.8-kg domestic cylinder at Rs3,470.09. That is Rs173.86 above the October level of Rs3,296.23. The revised LPG prices take effect across the country from 1 November 2026.

What the notification changes

OGRA’s November schedule updates both the per-kilogram rate and the standard domestic cylinder charge. Consumers who refill an 11.8-kg bottle will pay Rs3,470.09 under the new notification, compared with Rs3,296.23 in October.

The authority said the new LPG prices apply nationwide from the first day of November 2026. Anyone buying LPG by the kilogram will see the notified rate of Rs294.07 per kg after the Rs14.73 increase.

Pressure on households without piped gas

The rise adds to costs for consumers, especially people in areas without piped natural gas and families that depend on LPG cylinders. The change lands as winter approaches, when many homes use more bottled gas for cooking and heating.

Separately, LPG is reportedly being sold at Rs600 per kg in different parts of the country. That retail figure is higher than the notified rate and points to wide gaps between the official schedule and what buyers may face at local shops.

Timeline: what has happened so far

  • October: An 11.8-kg domestic LPG cylinder stood at Rs3,296.23 under the previous schedule.
  • Saturday: OGRA issued a notification raising LPG prices for November by Rs14.73 per kg.
  • 1 November 2026: The new LPG prices, including Rs294.07 per kg and Rs3,470.09 for an 11.8-kg cylinder, take effect across the country.
