Male candidates must be at least 5 feet 7 inches tall, with a chest measurement of 33 to 34.5 inches; female candidates must be at least 5 feet 2 inches tall. Eyesight must meet 6/6, with or without glasses, and near vision must not fall below J-1. Men must complete a 1.6-kilometre run in seven minutes; women must cover the same distance in 10 minutes.
