The firm said the step is meant to widen access to quality education and support community development in underserved and natural resource-producing regions.

Under the Mari scholarship programme, eligible students from North Waziristan in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Sindh districts of Ghotki and Sujawal, and selected communities in Balochistan will receive educational opportunities. The press release framed the effort as help for youth who face barriers to professional study and skills training.

Mari Energies said that through education and professional qualifications, students would be better placed to support their families, communities and the country. The company linked the scheme to educational advancement, human resource development and community empowerment in the areas where it operates.

What courses are covered

The Mari Energies scholarship is not limited to a single level of study. Students may pursue short-term professional courses lasting three months, diploma programmes, or four-year degree courses, the press release said.

What Mari Energies says comes next

By funding education and skills, Mari Energies said it wants to create lasting chances for young people in its selected communities. The firm described the Mari Energies scholarship programme as part of a longer commitment to professional development and socioeconomic progress.

The company expects the programme to help eligible students clear educational hurdles, strengthen their capabilities and contribute to development in their own districts and communities. Application steps, intake numbers and exact eligibility criteria were not set out in the announcement.
