The Apple foldable phone price in Pakistan is not given in the launch reporting. What is known is that Apple's first folding phone, the iPhone Duo, reached stores around the world on Friday at a price of about $2,000. Demand was strong, but sales were rationed, and the launch drew far fewer queues and overnight camp-outs than earlier iPhone days.

Supply stays tight

Apple capped pre-orders at two handsets per customer and limited sales to walk-in shoppers. In China, France, Hong Kong, India and Japan, the phone was available only to people who had ordered online. Estimated delivery dates had already slipped to late January within minutes of pre-orders opening a week earlier, and Apple called the response "nothing short of extraordinary."

In Sydney, a queue formed before the first Apple store there opened at 8 a.m. local time. Many people who lined up were collecting pre-orders, while others hoped for limited stock or simply wanted to look at display models.

Prices differ by storage size

The foldable iPhone price changes with storage. The headline figure is about $2,000, while a 512GB model cost A$3,899 in Australia, which the reporting converts to about $2,734. In Hong Kong, a 256GB unit sold for HK$17,499, or $2,231.73 by the same reporting. One Sydney buyer, an engineer who paid A$3,899, said he thought "life's too short" to hold back on the purchase.

The reporting gives no rupee figure for Pakistan, so local buyers cannot yet compare the cost with what they would pay at home.

Reviews are split on everyday use

Early reviews praised the design and the hinge, which is sturdy and barely visible. Reviewers also flagged camera compromises, including the absence of a telephoto lens, and third-party apps that still need to be reworked for the new screen size. Several said the folded phone is less handy for the quick tasks most people do each day.

Tech commentator Marques Brownlee said that for someone who mostly texts and browses, the phone is probably not worth it, though he found it fun for buyers who do not mind the price or losing facial identification. John Gruber, a longtime Apple commentator, called it "an extraordinarily polished prototype." In Berlin, YouTube creator Patrick Wolter said the device works as both a phone and an iPad.

What analysts expect

IDC, a market research firm, expects Apple to take 44% of foldable market value and 31% of units in 2026. By 2027, IDC forecasts that Apple will lead the market in both value and units shipped. Francisco Jeronimo, an IDC vice president, said Apple "has made a convincing case for this form factor," adding that the next test is turning excitement into availability and adoption.

Samsung Electronics and Huawei Technologies have sold premium foldable phones for years, so Apple is entering a market with established rivals.

Aasan alfaaz mein

Apple ka pehla foldable phone, iPhone Duo, Friday ko duniya bhar ki stores mein aa gaya hai, aur qeemat lagbhag $2,000 hai. Stock kam hai aur pre-order par bhi limit lagi hai, is liye jaldi milna mushkil ho sakta hai. Pakistan mein rupay mein qeemat abhi report nahi hui, is liye kharidne se pehle local dukandon se zaroor poochhein. Reviewers ke mutabiq roz ke kaam ke liye ye zaroori nahi, lekin shauq rakhne walon ko pasand aa sakta hai.
