The dollar price in Pakistan today closed the weekend at Rs 276.75, after the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the country’s central bank, announced forex rates for authorised dealers. In its revaluation circular, the SBP fixed the US dollar at Rs 276.7522 in the ready market, based on a weighted average of closing interbank rates.

Weekend closing rates for major currencies

Alongside the dollar rate today in Pakistan, the SBP listed several other currencies used in trade and remittances. The euro closed at Rs 309.7965, while the Australian dollar finished the week at Rs 194.5015.

The Saudi riyal closed the week at Rs 73.74. The UAE dirham stood at Rs 75.3467 against the rupee. The Kuwaiti dinar was transacted at Rs 897.8175 and the Bahraini dinar (BHD) at Rs 732.9246. The Turkish lira traded at Rs 5.5455.

How the SBP sets these forex rates

The central bank said these figures are compiled so authorised dealers can revalue their foreign-exchange books daily on a mark-to-market basis. The USD/PKR rate is calculated as a weighted average of closing interbank rates collected through brokerage houses.

Rates for other currencies are derived from that USD/PKR interbank rate and from cross rates against the US dollar quoted on LSEG Workspace. For readers checking the dollar vs PKR today, the Rs 276.7522 ready-market figure is the SBP’s official weekend revaluation reference for dealers.

Why these currencies matter for households

The US dollar remains the benchmark for interbank trading and influences the local cost of many imports. The euro and related markets matter for education and family costs linked to Europe, while Saudi Arabia and the UAE are major destinations for Pakistani workers.

More than six million Pakistanis work in Saudi Arabia and the UAE, and remittances from those countries are a major source of foreign currency. Families who receive money from those markets often watch the Saudi riyal and UAE dirham rates when estimating how much will arrive in rupees. The Australian dollar is also watched by households linked to students and skilled migrants in Australia.

Aasan alfaaz mein

Weekend par State Bank ne dollar ki rate Rs 276.75 batayi hai. Matlab aaj Pakistan mein dollar is qeemat ke qareeb hai. Jo log Saudi Arabia ya UAE se paise bhejte hain, un ke liye riyal aur dirham ki rates bhi zaroori hain. Import aur fees wale kharche is dollar rate se juday rehte hain.
