Faysal Bank financial results for the nine months ended 30 September 2026 show profit before tax of Rs31.3 billion and profit after tax of Rs15.2 billion, equal to earnings per share of Rs10. The board declared a third-quarter cash dividend of Rs1.5 per share (15%), in addition to the Rs3 per share already paid for the first half of the year.

Profit, dividend and capital

The bank said the figures reflect a measured approach to balance-sheet growth while favouring funding quality. Total assets stood above Rs1.8 trillion. Capital was bolstered by the successful issuance of a Rs7 billion Tier II Sukuk — an Islamic instrument that counts toward a bank’s regulatory capital buffer.

These Faysal Bank financial results also point to a sharper focus on low-cost deposits and controlled lending. The advance-to-deposit ratio — advances as a share of deposits — moderated to 50.1% from 61.1% in December 2025, which the bank linked to a prudent lending stance.

Deposits, CASA and asset quality

Deposits rose 9.3% to Rs1.56 trillion. Current accounts led that rise, climbing 20% to Rs642 billion. The current-account mix improved to 41.2% from 37.5% in December 2025, and CASA — current and savings accounts as a share of deposits — rose to 85.2% from 81.9%.

Asset quality remained firm on the bank’s figures, with an infection ratio of 2.4% (the share of loans classified as non-performing). Trade and transactional flows, a larger customer base and a wider branch network were cited as supports for the deposit franchise.

What the chairman and CEO said

Chairman Mian Muhammad Younis thanked customers for their trust and said serving them well across branches and digital channels remains central. He added that, as a leading Islamic bank, Faysal Bank remains committed to widening access to Shariah-compliant finance and contributing to Pakistan’s economic progress.

President and CEO Yousaf Hussain said the Faysal Bank profit outcome reflects a strategy built on a low-cost, transaction-led deposit franchise, disciplined risk management and a stronger capital base. He said the next phase will scale digital banking, deepen trade and transaction capabilities, and reach more women and underserved customers.
