Interloop Limited will invest Rs6.5 billion, about $23.5 million, to expand and modernise its apparel and hosiery operations, after its board approved the extra spending. The Interloop investment was agreed at a board meeting held on October 22, 2026, in Faisalabad, and the company told the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the country's main bourse, in a filing on Friday.

Interloop is one of Pakistan's largest textile exporters and is counted among the biggest listed companies on the PSX. It makes hosiery, denim, knitted apparel and activewear for global brands and retailers, and it also produces yarn for other textile customers.

What the company approved

The approved budget is a combined capital expenditure (capex) and balancing, modernisation and replacement (BMR) amount. Capex is money spent on new buildings, machines and equipment, while BMR covers upgrading and replacing existing plant. The board approved the extra Rs6.5 billion across both the apparel and hosiery segments. The dollar figure is an approximate conversion.

The company said the investment supports its growth strategy by expanding production, adding manufacturing capacity and modernising existing facilities. It also said the spending should "strengthen operational efficiency" and help it "meet evolving customer demand."

Where Interloop operates

All of the company's plants are in Punjab. It also has an associate manufacturing facility in Sri Lanka, an affiliate manufacturing facility and a sourcing office in China, and marketing offices in the United States, Europe and Japan.

No timeline has been announced so far, and the company has not said which plants will receive the new funds.

What happens next

The board's approval is the first step. Project-level decisions, timing and funding details have not yet been released. Further details are likely to come through the company's stock exchange filings, the channel it used for this announcement. Any update on how the Interloop investment is deployed will show whether the expansion moves ahead as planned.
