Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz paid tribute to four police personnel who were martyred during an encounter with terrorists in Karak, a district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the Punjab chief minister, honoured them as martyrs.
Who the four policemen were
The men named in the tribute are Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Imranuddin, Station House Officer (SHO) Afzal Awan, and police personnel Amjad Ali and Kazim. A DSP is a senior police rank, while an SHO is the officer in charge of a police station. Each of the four died during the encounter with terrorists.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz expressed deep grief and sorrow over the martyrdom of DSP Imranuddin, SHO Afzal Awan, Amjad Ali and Kazim. She extended heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the bereaved families of the martyrs.
