What the Multan FIA zone says happened
The Federal Investigation Agency’s Multan Zone said on Tuesday that its officers had taken six men into custody in separate south Punjab files. The agency links four of them to unpaid promises of overseas work papers and two others to alleged help in giving Pakistani national identity cards to Afghan citizens. Two of the six were already listed as proclaimed offenders.
An FIA Multan spokesperson said the Multan Composite Circle handled the four visa-related detentions, while the Bahawalpur Composite Circle handled the identity-card file. Destinations named in the visa complaints include the United Arab Emirates’ Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Belarus, Spain and Iraq.
Who was detained and what money is alleged
On 27 October, Multan’s anti-human trafficking circle detained Muhammad Imran of Vehari district, a proclaimed offender. The agency says a complainant paid him Rs800,000 for a Saudi work visa; neither the visa nor a refund followed, according to the FIA.
A day before that, officers detained Zeeshan Akram, also from Vehari, over an alleged Rs300,000 payment for a Dubai work visa. The FIA says that pledge was also unmet and the cash was not given back.
On 26 October, the Bahawalpur Composite Circle detained Qamar Zaman of Khanpur in Rahim Yar Khan district, another proclaimed offender. He is accused of taking Rs900,000 to secure Iraq employment visas for a complainant’s two sons and then failing to deliver.
On 20 October, the agency detained Munawar Ali of Mailsi tehsil in Vehari. He and associates are accused of moving about Rs75.1 million through banks after promising Belarus and Spain work visas. The FIA says those visas never materialised and the funds were not returned.
Identity-card case in Bahawalpur
Separately, on 21 October, Bahawalpur officers detained Asif Bashir and Shahzad Ahmad. The FIA alleges they took part in issuing Pakistani CNICs — computerised national identity cards, the main citizen ID — to Afghan nationals.
The agency has framed the detentions as enforcement against both trafficking-linked visa cheating and unlawful identity documents. Court outcomes and charge sheets were not detailed in the same account.

Aasan alfaaz mein
FIA ne Multan aur Bahawalpur mein chhe log pakre hain. Un par ilzaam hai ke unhon ne bahir naukri ke visa ke paise liye, lekin visa nahi diya. Do logon par Pakistani CNIC Afghan shehriyon ko dilwane ka ilzaam hai. Jo log agent ko cash dete hain, unhen wasooli aur shikayat ke liye FIA channels dekhne chahiye.
