Easypaisa Digital Bank’s board of directors has approved the financial statements for the first nine months of 2026, and the easypaisa digital bank profit before tax stood at Rs13.30 billion. That pre-tax figure was 2.35 times the level recorded in the same period a year earlier. Profit after tax came to Rs7.41 billion, while earnings per share were Rs12.31.
The results cover the period ended in September 2026. They show growth across both income and customer funds, alongside higher spending tied to expansion and digital lending.
Revenue, fees and operating costs
Total revenue rose 38.53% year on year to Rs46.67 billion. Net markup income grew 37.0%, driven mainly by a larger lending book and treasury investments. Fee-based income rose 40.63%, supported by payment services, online transactions, disbursements, collections and insurance products.
Non-markup expenses increased to Rs32.80 billion. The bank linked that rise to ongoing spending on customer acquisition, merchant reach and risk-sharing costs linked to digital lending. The cost-to-income ratio stood at 70.27%.
Deposits, advances and capital strength
Customer deposits grew 59.06% year on year to Rs174.39 billion. The CASA ratio—current and savings accounts as a share of deposits—reached 96.99%, and the current-account share was 79%. Net advances rose to Rs31.65 billion, leaving an advances-to-deposit ratio of 18.15%.
Asset quality indicators remained solid on the figures disclosed. Non-performing loans were 2.91% of gross advances, and the coverage ratio was 165.07%. The capital adequacy ratio—a buffer of capital against risk-weighted assets—was 27.54% as of 30 September, above the regulatory minimum. In July, the Pakistan Credit Rating Agency raised the bank’s long-term entity rating to “AA-” and kept the short-term rating at “A1”.
What the bank says comes next
President and CEO Jahanzeb Khan said the easypaisa digital bank profit and related results show sustainable financial performance. He said the bank will focus on deeper customer ties through lending, savings, remittances and Islamic banking, and will keep expanding foreign exchange and credit cards.
Easypaisa operates as the first digital bank in Pakistan to begin commercial operations and reports more than 60 million registered users. It is backed by Telenor Group and Ant Group and says it remains aligned with the State Bank of Pakistan’s aim of wider financial inclusion for people who have limited or no formal banking access. Taken together, the easypaisa financial results point to a larger deposit base, growing fee and markup income, and a stated push beyond basic payments into a wider digital banking mix.
