Pakistan have climbed to fourth place in the latest ICC ODI rankings, overtaking Australia after two strong wins in the ongoing tri-series in Rawalpindi. The International Cricket Council (ICC) is the sport's global governing body, and its latest men's table gives Pakistan 103 rating points. That leaves them just one point behind third-placed South Africa, while Australia have slipped to fifth.

Where the top of the table stands

India still lead the ICC ODI rankings with 115 points, and New Zealand are second on 109. Pakistan's rise followed impressive victories over Sri Lanka and England, and the win over England was the more recent of the two. With South Africa so close, the gap between third and fourth is a single point, so the places below the top two could change quickly as the series goes on.

For a side trying to build consistency in one-day international (ODI) cricket, passing Australia is a useful step. The ODI format is the 50-over version of the game. Pakistan now have a chance to strengthen their position further if they keep their winning momentum.

Arafat Minhas and the England win

Pakistan beat England by 87 runs on Tuesday, and young all-rounder Arafat Minhas was the standout performer. Pakistan had been 81 for four at one stage, but they recovered to post 302 for nine. Hasan Nawaz made 79, Minhas scored a half-century and Faheem Ashraf added a quick 39.

Minhas, who is 21, scored 59 from 58 deliveries before returning career-best bowling figures of 6 for 40. England's chase never really took off, despite Tom Banton's 57 and Ben Duckett's 45, and they were dismissed for 215. The all-round performance helped push Pakistan above Australia in the table.

Aasan alfaaz mein

Pakistan cricket team ne ICC ki ODI rankings mein Australia ko peechhe chhod kar chautha number le liya hai. Rawalpindi mein England ko 87 runs se haraane mein Arafat Minhas ne bat aur ball dono se kamaal dikhaya. Pakistan aur South Africa ke rating points mein sirf ek point ka farq hai, is liye agle matchon ke nateejay ahem hain. Aam shaiqeen ke liye yeh khabar khushi ki hai, lekin rozmarra ke kharchon par iska seedha asar nahi hai.
