The Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) on Sunday issued an IESCO power suspension schedule for Islamabad and nearby circles for Monday, with electricity to be cut on limited feeders while the district administration carries out development works.

An IESCO spokesperson said supply in Islamabad Circle will remain suspended from 9:00am to 2:00pm on feeders including China Chowk, Shehzad Town, G-6/3, G-8, Iqbal Town, Highway, Navy-I, F-8 Markaz, G-9/2, I-8/1, New I-10/1, New Exchange, PHA-II, Shah Allah Ditta, CM Pak Zong, Kurri, Sunny Bank, Cecil, Berote, Dehla, Bari Imam, Kotli Sattian, A.I.T and Shaheed-e-Millat.

Other circles and timings

In Rawalpindi City Circle, supply is due to stay off from 9:00am to 2:00pm on a long list of feeders covering areas such as Gulzar-e-Quaid, Airport, Khanna Road, Faizabad, Tench Bhatta, Peshawar Road and many residential and commercial localities named in the notice.

Rawalpindi Cantt Circle has staggered windows: the Nara Mator feeder from 8:00am to 3:00pm; a large group of feeders from 9:00am to 2:00pm; and Rawat, SUPARCO, RCCI-4 and RCCI-5 from 11:00am to 1:00pm. Attock Circle lists some feeders from 7:00am to 2:00pm and others from 9:00am to 2:00pm. Jhelum Circle is scheduled for 9:00am to 2:00pm. Chakwal Circle has blocks from 7:00am to 2:00pm and from 9:00am to 2:00pm. In the GSO Circle, supply is due to pause from 7:00am to 1:00pm on feeders including CM Pak Zong, Rehara, PHA-1, Isolation Hospital and IT Park.

Why the shutdowns were ordered

IESCO management apologised to consumers for the temporary interruption. It said the sole purpose was to help finish development projects on time, including construction of flyovers and underpasses, installation of new 11kV feeders (local medium-voltage lines that feed neighbourhood transformers), road widening and related work.

Where to confirm the IESCO shutdown schedule

For convenience, temporary electricity shutdown schedules were also uploaded on IESCO's official website, iesco.com.pk, and on its official social media platforms, including Facebook (IESCO Updates) and Twitter/X (IESCO Official Pk). For further information, consumers may call the IESCO helpline at 118.

Anyone relying on the IESCO power suspension schedule Islamabad notice should match their area to the named feeder before Monday morning, as only listed feeders are covered in this programme.
