Fresh bidding date in Jand
Syed Zulfiqar Abbas Bukhari—better known as Zulfi Bukhari, a Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) figure and former federal minister—faces another public sale of farmland. In Jand, within Attock district, 377 kanals are listed for bidding on 11 November.
Ahmed Ali Raza, who serves as assistant commissioner in Jand, circulated the notice. It states that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), the federal anti-corruption agency, through its Islamabad office, ordered the disposal.
Opening prices and earlier sales
The notice sets different starting offers: Rs20,000 a kanal on one portion and Rs15,000 a kanal on another. Those figures mark the floor from which bidding may rise, not a final sale price.
This is not the first time NAB has moved against land linked to him. One earlier disposal covered 771 kanals nine marlas; another covered 25 kanals seven marlas. Residences associated with him in Islamabad and in Attock have likewise been drawn into auction steps, according to officials familiar with the process.
Those same officials say he has been named a proclaimed offender—someone who fails to appear before the court as required—in a matter involving £190 million.
What Bukhari and his father say
On X, Zulfi Bukhari wrote that close to 800 kanals of farmland had already gone under the hammer and that homes in Islamabad and Attock had been sealed. He framed the latest step as political targeting and tied it to his continued backing of Imran Khan, PTI’s founder.
Wajid Bukhari, his father, speaking by phone, argued that land can be taken, livelihoods squeezed, and personal hardship imposed, yet political allegiance cannot be compelled. He said both men would accept the fallout rather than walk away from Imran Khan.
Timeline: what has happened so far
- Earlier NAB disposals: a tract of 771 kanals nine marlas sold.
- Earlier NAB disposals: a second tract of 25 kanals seven marlas sold.
- Process ongoing: Islamabad and Attock houses entered auction proceedings; officials describe Bukhari as a proclaimed offender in the £190 million matter.
- 11 November: 377 kanals in Jand scheduled for public bidding under the new notice.
NAB has not, in the material behind this article, published a fresh public reply to the family’s political-victimisation claim. The scheduled sale in Jand remains the next formal step on the calendar.
