What the government announced

Balochistan’s administration has terminated another 72 physicians after they stayed off work for long stretches without approval, Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti said on Saturday. He framed the step as part of a broader drive against staff who skip duty in the health wing and elsewhere in the provincial bureaucracy.

Bugti put the cumulative tally of public workers removed for unauthorised absence at 200. He also said pay cuts tied to discipline breaches have reached Rs410 million so far.

Pay cuts, notices and open cases

Beyond the latest doctor dismissals, the chief minister described a wider accountability push. Roughly 11,000 workers have been asked in writing to explain negligence or failure to do their jobs. Separate departmental cases, he added, are already moving against 800 other government employees.

Bugti argued that people on the state payroll serve the public and must work with honesty and commitment. He said no one will be allowed to collect wages while remaining at home, and that slackness or absence without leave will not be excused.

AI attendance in health

For the first time, Bugti announced, the provincial health department will use an artificial intelligence (AI) tool—software that tracks who is present—to watch staff attendance and tighten accountability. He said early results from that system are already emerging and linked them to the latest removals.

He also posted the official order naming the dismissed staff on his social media account, dated 31 October 2026, repeating that home-based salary drawing will not be tolerated.

Aasan alfaaz mein

Balochistan ki hukumat ne wazahat ke baghair lambay waqt ghair hazir rehne wale mazeed 72 doctors ko nikal diya hai. CM Sarfraz Bugti ke mutabiq ab aise berteraf logon ki kul tadaad 200 ho chuki hai. Tanwahon se 41 crore rupay ki katoti ho chuki hai, aur sehat ke mehkame mein AI se hazri check hone lagi hai. Matlab yeh hai ke hospital staff ko ab duty par ana hoga, warna tankhwah aur naukri dono khatre mein ho sakti hain.
