The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) on Sunday announced NADRA open courts in Lahore so citizens can bring forward complaints about its services and have them heard by officials. The sittings follow directives from the Prime Minister of Pakistan and will be supervised by the NADRA Regional Head Office.
When and where the sessions will be held
The first open court is scheduled for October 26 at the NADRA Mega Center on Peco Road. A second session will be held on October 27 at the Mega Center on Egerton Road. Both sittings will run from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
What citizens can raise
People may present problems linked to Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs)—Pakistan’s national identity cards—Family Registration Certificates (FRCs), which record family particulars for official use, and other official documents. NADRA said its officers will hear public grievances directly during these hour-long sessions.
How complaints are meant to be handled
The authority said measures would be taken to ensure prompt redressal of citizens’ grievances during the NADRA open courts. The stated aim is to resolve service issues in person rather than leaving applicants waiting without a clear hearing.
