Google has hosted Pakistan’s first YouTube Festival, with gatherings in Karachi on 19 October and Lahore on 22 October for brands, businesses and creators looking at digital growth on the video platform.
The company framed the festival around YouTube’s scale in the country and practical ways firms can use creators, ads and platform tools to reach more people and track results.
YouTube’s reach in Pakistan
Google pointed to a large local audience: 60 million people in Pakistan watch content on YouTube. Over the past year, Pakistani channels uploaded 20 million hours of material.
The festival also cited Coke Studio’s track Pasoori, which has crossed one billion views, with nearly 90% of those views coming from outside Pakistan—an example of how Pakistani creative work travels internationally on the platform.
Brand case studies and Google’s message
Success stories featured at the events included Sunsilk, Nestlé Everyday and easypaisa. According to a Google study, Easypaisa’s campaigns produced a 30% relative increase in app installs, equal to 1.3 million additional installs.
Google Cluster Director Farhan Qureshi said the festival is meant to help Pakistani brands turn cultural connections and creator partnerships into lasting business growth. Sessions covered how those partnerships, digital advertising and YouTube’s own tools can widen reach and show measurable gains.
