Inspector General of Police Islamabad Capt (retd) Muhammad Sohail Chaudhry on 30 October reviewed IGP Islamabad AI security monitoring at the Command, Control, Communication and Coordination (4C) Centre at the Central Police Office. The visit covered the centre’s artificial intelligence-based security monitoring system, field force surveillance and emergency response arrangements.

What the IGP inspected at the 4C Centre

The 4C Centre Islamabad is the capital police’s hub for command, control, communication and coordination. The IGP inspected the technology-based facility and checked how it supports monitored security across the federal capital, including supervision of police personnel in the field and faster responses when emergencies arise.

Concerned officers briefed him on systems running at the centre. The briefing covered the use of artificial intelligence and other modern technologies for security monitoring and coordination across Islamabad.

Orders on technology and emergency response

After the review, IGP Sohail directed officers to make effective use of available technology and resources. He said the aim was to further improve security surveillance, field force monitoring and emergency response throughout the city.

The visit framed IGP Islamabad AI security work as part of wider efforts to keep field units visible to the command centre and to shorten the gap between an incident and police action. He also stressed that tools already in place should be used fully rather than left underused.

Complaints heard at the Central Police Office

Later the same day, the IGP listened to complaints and problems raised by citizens, police officers and personnel who came to the Central Police Office. He instructed concerned officers to resolve complaints and applications promptly and on merit.

IGP Sohail said effective use of modern technology, timely relief for citizens and attention to police personnel’s problems were among Islamabad Police’s key priorities. He urged officers to carry out their duties with dedication and responsibility, and to use available resources carefully.
