What was held in Karachi
On 30 October in Karachi, the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry’s Central Standing Committee on Corporate Relations & Communications ran a session titled “AI Business Facilitation for Corporate Business Growth” at Federation House. Syed Turab Shah convened the gathering. The stated purpose was to show how artificial intelligence (software that learns patterns and automates tasks) can help firms work faster, produce more, and compete better.
Irum Fawad, the committee’s coordinator and chief executive of AI 0.3, shaped and managed the programme. Guests from several industries joined to talk about day-to-day uses of AI in company work, factory progress and the wider economy.
Who spoke and what they stressed
Sindh MPA Dr Fouzia Hameed attended as chief guest. Hasaan Khan, marketing head at H & A E Store and focused on AI-led ads, automation and performance marketing, outlined ways firms can use these tools to sharpen campaigns and results. Salik Ahmed, a computer science graduate, AI content maker and founder of Salik Builds, described product work he has done and his security venture Secure AI.
Fourteen-year-old data scientist Amna Shahzad was among the main speakers, a sign of younger Pakistanis entering the field. Others on the programme included Commodore (Retd) Sadeed A. Malik, secretary general of Quaid-e-Azam House Museum; deputy convener Maqsood Ahmed Naz; Saima Hafeez, an agentic AI engineer working on business change; and Muhammad Ali Haider, senior vice president of the LPG Marketers Association of Pakistan, as guest of honour.
Hafeez linked AI with fresh business ideas and people’s capacity to grow. Across the room, the thread stayed on cutting waste in workflows, backing automation, lifting output and hardening a firm’s edge. Attendees also weighed how to spot fit places to plug AI into what they already do.
Message for Pakistan’s business community
Trade and industry guests were told to treat AI as a usable tool for new products and lasting development, not only as a buzzword. Speakers said owners and managers need clear know-how so they can meet shifting digital demands.
Organisers thanked guests, main speakers, sponsors and those who came. They singled out Turab Shah, Naz and Fawad, and named many helpers among FPCCI members. The closing line was that companies should take up AI to lift results, spark new ideas and back a sturdier industrial path for Pakistan.
Aasan alfaaz mein
Karachi mein FPCCI ne AI par ek seminar rakha. Business walon ko kaha gaya ke AI sirf nayi technology nahi, kaam asaan banane ka zariya hai. Jawaan speakers ne bhi hissa liya. Matlab yeh hai ke companies ko digital tools seekh kar competition mein rehna chahiye.
