The Punjab School Education Department has announced eight IT job vacancies for technical professionals under its Program Monitoring and Implementation Unit (PMIU), the unit that tracks and runs education programmes. The posts are based in Lahore. Online applications are open until 8 November 2026.
The vacancies sit under the Actions to Strengthen Performance for Inclusive and Responsive Education (ASPIRE) project, carried out through the Punjab Education Sector Reforms Program (PESRP). The department is seeking software engineers, database administrators, cybersecurity staff and other technical roles on project pay scales PPS-8, PPS-9 and PPS-10. The advertisement names those scales but does not list fixed monthly salaries.
Which posts are on offer
There are eight positions, with one seat for each title. Three fall under PPS-10: Software Team Lead, Database Administrator, and DevOps Engineer + Cyber Security.
Three more are on PPS-9: Senior Software Engineer, Senior Software Developer (UI/UX), and QA/Test Engineer. The remaining two are on PPS-8: Network/System Administrator and Junior Software Engineer.
Who can apply
Applicants need a Master’s degree or a Bachelor’s (Honours) in Computer Science, Information Technology or another relevant subject from a local or foreign university recognised by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), the body that accredits higher education in Pakistan.
Some roles list preferred skills or certificates. For Software Team Lead, knowledge of Scrum and Agile is preferred, as are PMP or PRINCE2 credentials. Database Administrator applicants gain preference with relevant database certificates. For DevOps Engineer + Cyber Security, a Certified DevOps Engineer qualification is preferred. Senior Software Engineer also accepts relevant Artificial Intelligence (AI) qualifications, with preference for specialists in that field.
QA/Test Engineer candidates should know about SQL injection and load testing; related professional certificates are preferred. Network/System Administrator posts list professional networking certificates among preferred qualifications.

Candidates must apply online through the official PMIU-PESRP recruitment portal at jobs.pesrp.edu.pk. They should open the form, choose the post, and enter personal details, education, experience and employment history, then upload supporting documents.
The Punjab School Education Department will only accept applications through that portal. Forms sent by hand, courier or any other route will not be considered. Applicants should check every entry before they submit.
