The BISE Sargodha 1st year result 2026 has put the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Sargodha — the body that runs intermediate and secondary exams in the Sargodha region — first among educational boards across Punjab. A board spokesperson said 49,964 candidates appeared in the 1st-year annual examinations 2026, of whom 33,371 passed, for an overall pass percentage of 66.79.

How candidates performed

Among those who cleared the exams, 10,810 were male students and 22,561 were female students. Regular candidates accounted for most of the entry: 31,749 of 46,833 regular candidates passed. Of 3,132 private candidates, 1,622 were declared successful.

Taken together, about two-thirds of all candidates who sat the papers were successful. Female students made up a clear majority of those who passed. The board’s Sargodha board result 2026 figures were presented as an improvement on the previous year, though the spokesperson and chairman did not release the earlier year’s percentage in the same briefing.

What the chairman said

Addressing a press conference, BISE Sargodha Chairman Abbas Haider Gondal said the examination results had improved compared with the previous year. He linked the outcome to students’ hard work, teachers’ guidance, parents’ encouragement and ongoing work to strengthen the examination system. He congratulated successful candidates and stressed that hard work, dedication and consistency remained central to doing well.

Gondal said that, in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat and the Higher Education Department, transparency, merit and impartiality had been given top priority during the examinations. He said strict measures were taken to prevent irregularities and keep the process fair. With support from the Commissioner Sargodha Division and related administrative institutions, he added, the exams were run in an organised and transparent way. He also thanked officers and staff for carrying out their duties efficiently.

BISE Sargodha Secretary Abu-ul-Hassan Naqvi and other board officials attended the press conference. Gondal reaffirmed the board’s aim to keep improving the examination system to meet modern needs, provide better facilities for students, and prepare accurate results on time.
