Al-Ghazi Tractors Limited (AGTL) has reported a strong turnaround in its AGTL financial results for the nine months ended September 30, 2026. The company posted a net profit of Rs1.658 billion, compared with a net loss of Rs270 million in the same period of 2025. Higher tractor sales and revenue drove the change, and the company said profitability improved even more sharply than sales.

Sales and production rose sharply

AGTL produced 6,967 tractors in the nine months, up 39% from 5,005 units a year earlier. Sales grew at a faster pace, rising to 6,587 tractors from 4,126 units in the comparable period, an increase of 60%. The gap between the two growth rates shows that the company sold more machines than it made in relation to the previous year's base.

Operating revenue, the income earned from the company's core business, reached Rs17.511 billion against Rs9.761 billion a year earlier, growth of about 79%. Gross profit, which is revenue left after the direct cost of making the tractors, rose about 159% to Rs4.477 billion from Rs1.729 billion. The company said the increase in gross profit was Rs2.748 billion.

Profit swing and per-share earnings

The bottom line moved by Rs1.928 billion, from a loss of Rs270 million in the first nine months of 2025 to a profit of Rs1.658 billion in the same period of 2026. Earnings per share, meaning the profit attributed to each ordinary share, stood at Rs28.61. In the corresponding nine months last year, the company recorded a loss of Rs4.65 per share.

The AGTL financial results cover nine months only, so they do not show the full-year position. Readers should look for the company's next financial update for figures covering later periods.

What the company said

Chief Executive Officer Yasin Seker said the nine-month performance reflected “stronger operational momentum across the business” and disciplined execution. He added that the company remains mindful of the wider operating environment. The company's stated focus is on serving customers, improving operational efficiency and building a business that can deliver sustainable performance over the long term.
